Through this voluntary program you will be able to
recycle yard waste.
Acceptable to place in can:
- Weeds
- Tree branches
- Leaves
- Lawn clippings
- Fruits and vegetables
Not acceptable to place in can:
- Plastic or paper bags
- Meats & meat by-products
- Dairy products
- Animal waste
What happens to this material? It is delivered to the city landfill composting operation where it is processed into wood chips, mulch and compost. It can be purchased by the general public. For more information call 974-6902.
Service period: Weekly for nine months beginning in March and ending in November each year
Service fee: $3.50 per container per month. For ease of mailing and household budget planning, the nine month cost of providing this service will be spread over 12 equal monthly payments. There is a minimum 12 month subscription.

will be transferred to Salt Lake City's Public Utilities page where
